Harry Potter actor attacked by knife-wielding ‘madman’, friend tells court

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on 17th February, 2009 by Shaarang Gupta

A friend of Harry Potter actor Rob Knox broke down in tears as he described seeing a knife-wielding “madman” stab him repeatedly. Tom Hopkins told a court how he saw the 18-year-old stabbed to death outside the Metro bar in Sidcup, Kent, by Karl Bishop.
Mr Hopkins, 19, was himself stabbed in the head during the melee in May last year.
The trial still continues. I hope Rob gets justice.
He played the character of Marcus Belby in the yet to be released HBP movie.

Warner Bros. is suing an Indian film company called Mirchi Movies because of the title of a film it had scheduled to release on September 12th – “Hari Puttar.”

According to a WB spokespesron, “We have recently commenced proceedings against parties involved in the production and distribution of a movie entitled Hari Puttar. Warner Bros values and protects intellectual property rights. However, it is our policy not to discuss publicly the details of any ongoing litigation.”

However, a Mirchi Movies spokesperson stated, “We registered the Hari Puttar title in 2005 and it’s unfortunate that Warner has chosen to file a case so close to our film’s release. In my opinion, I don’t think our title has any similarity or links with Harry Potter.”

Well, controversies and troubles always surround Harry Potter. In his own words, “I don’t go looking for trouble, trouble usually finds me.”
